Description
The female deity Prajnaparamita embodies the wisdom of all Buddhas.
Prajnaparamita has a beautiful golden body, carries precious jewels and wears beautiful silken robes, as a queen from ancient India. She has four arms; two are in her lap in meditation posture. In her other hands she holds a Vajra (a ritual scepter destroying all kinds of ignorance) and a text known as the ‘Perfection of Wisdom Sutra.’
The Buddha gave many teachings on the Pefection of Wisdom and these vary greatly in length.
The longest is known as the ‘Perfection of Wisdom Sutra in One Hundred Thousand Verses’ and its purpose is to show how the Bodhisattva should train in the correct view of reality and thereby achieve full awakening from ignorance.
The popular Heart Sutra is the shortest version of the ‘Sutras of Wisdom’ that the Buddha presented.
The Heart Sutra explaines the Wisdom and Method needed to become a Buddha yourself.
It is a powerful method to overcome obstacles, and to learn to see things as they really are

Feile Case
Carmen, your black and white rendering of Prajnaparamita is a precious drawing. I was glad to see that your image is in the top 20 Images when you do a Google Image search of Prajnaparamita. With loving-kindness and compassion this image is a gentle way to introduce the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra~ to westerners. I like your Citipati and Padmasambhava is real nice. I like many of the images you have released so far. I've never seen Tara Protecting against Poisons and Naga-related diseases and the colors in your rendering are very moving. I'm glad your work is available to so many people. Longevity and Prosperity to you & yours. Be well~ ~Feile Case
